This household is of the opinion that Christmas/other winter holiday decorations don’t go up until after Thanksgiving is over. We respect Thanksgiving. Ha, not really, we just think the commercialization of Christmas gets started too early every year. Soon it’ll start before Halloween!
Husband doesn’t really care about Christmas cards. He thinks they are fine, but wouldn’t put any effort into them. I’m really the one who likes cards. I love seeing photos of people and reading about what they’ve been up to over the last year. I’ve actually never written a Christmas letter before, but I was thinking of starting this year!
First, though, gotta pick the card. I ordered photo cards last year from Shutterfly, with the requisite wedding photo, of course. This year, I have yet to select our photo, but I do know I want to include a photo of the cats. So, multiple photo card it is!
This is the first card that caught my eye:
I always love more simple, elegant cards, and I think this one fits the bill. The three card layout would mean we had to get individual pictures of the cats, though. I was hoping to be able to use one photo of them together.
I really liked this card too:
It looks cheery and great for the holidays. And, two photos! Perfect.
This one looked really reminded me of our Hawaiian vacation:
This one would require even more photos. We do have a lot of beautiful Hawaii photos, though. Maybe those could be incorporated?
I love the concept of this one!
No separate letter needed! Hmm. I really like that. It’s cheery and great for the holiday too. This one might be my current frontrunner!
What do you think? Any you like in this bunch?
***This is essentially a sponsored post, as I am participating in Shutterfly’s current blog promotion. Bloggers can receive 50 free holiday cards, so if you haven’t already, go check it out and participate too! Really, though, I just love Shutterfly. I’ve used them for everything from photo holiday cards to a vacation book!***

I like the last one, the combo card and letter. Unless you’re planning to do an individualized Christmas letter to each recipient, then it’s just added typing, printing, folding, and envelope stuffing.
Otherwise, I like the first one, although I’m not sure the best way to arrange the 4 of your into 3 pictures. I just like that it’s simple and the color scheme is subtle and doesn’t scream “Christmas!”
